Also, I suppose you could do this with old auto-saves. How do you save, then? Do you have an older save regardless? Use with above method, instead of quicksave. So, what quicksave? I never use quicksave so I have no quicksave, thus no quicksave backup. If you need any elaborations feel free to let me know, I subbed to this discussion :) Wait 2 hours in game (just use the wait/sleep menu) - REGULAR SAVE. Wait 2 hours in game (just use the wait/sleep menu) - (Non-LITE version only) Wait until MCM updates the mod menus.

Don't know what steps actually made it work but that's what I did. Open the console () and type BAT RESET. Load the save in the game and see what’s reset. This will remove all script data from the save and is actually better for the game than removing script instances only. Rename it anything (I named it 'COPYquicksave.ess') for use in-game.įixed for me. Click on scripts ( not script instances) and press delete. Now, make a copy of this restored quicksave (you'll now have a 'quicksave.ess - Copy')Ħ. (Go to Documents -> My Games -> Skyrim -> Saves.First delete 'quicksave.ess'.

Created a NEW save (through pause menu)Ĥ. Loaded older save (without CTD - just like above method)Ģ. No more CrashToDesktops :)ĭon't know what actually made it work but here's what I did:ġ. ALTERNATIVE FIX - Still no need for mod changes The method above didn't actually work for me, but I tried a bunch of things along the same lines and finally something worked.
